bad pokemon stories thread! ill start off with my worst
this takes place when im around 3rd or 4th grade and i was playing pokemon pearl

>too young to know what a shiny was
>thought blue flames may have been from moon, older brother agrees

yes a shiny pokemon ran away. I wasnt even in the safari zone either. has a similar event happened to you where a pokemon has run away in the wild? obviously roamers dont count and it doesnt have to be shiny of course
still really salty and have never encountered a shiny in game ever since

On the upside, I did realize my dream of a following Raichu years later in Soul Silver. But my Yellow cartridge was forever fucked up.
