You know, the dev team is a not so large, happy family that happily works on their child. They are not looking for people to join them, and if they are, they just want people to code something or do some menial labor. Last thing that the dev team wants is an opinion about game content. Back when the IRC was open, any criticism whatsoever was prone to cause long lasting shitstorms, and there were some dedicated shitposters, too.
You want to help, that's nice. But does Clover need your help? Most likely no. Will your help change anything? It might bring the next release about a week earlier, but that is all.
This comes from a person that joined as a stranger, did most of the trainers as stranger, shitposted as stranger, and left this project about three times as a stranger. My contribution wasn't anything significant, (anybody could have sit for about 20 hours on it), and my attempst at doing some well-meant changes to improve the game were met heavy disregard.

As you already know, cross-gen evos are generally placed late in the dex, just before the pseudo lines and legendaries.
You could also look at those mons, and think if they aren't quite similar to some previous mons.
like Rock/Dark chest mimic and Rock/Steel vault mimic. Could they be possibly related?
Or you could just take the easy way and read the doc. If you did that, you would have noticed that some Pokémon (228-234 for example) have something written in notes : ''Cross gen XY evo''
Or you culd take even easier way, just asking about obvious stuff in the thread like a retater
