Same, although mine is not shiny! I'm currently at 1720 rating with a 23-7 win/loss ratio, and Primarina has done work in pratically every match. I'm really happy about it, can't wait until it gets Liquid Voice!

Are you all happy in the state the Popplio line is?
It's not owned by a great trainer in the anime (though the ashnime is garbage anyway so who cares) and it's not owned by any of the protagonists in the manga.

At the same time Primarina has the highest special attack stat of all the starters, and it's not being pushed like Greninja where it left the others in the dust.

Yes. As it stands, I wouldn't change its treatment for any of the other gen 7 starters. In-game viability is much more important than the anime or the manga, which I care little about. All in all i'm really happy about the Popplio line, it would be awesome if it got some nice tutor move the next game, but don't feel like I need to ask anything more than that.

Regardless, I'm perfectly happy as it is. All three of the designs turned out amazingly and it's neither a slouch in battle nor something far too powerful for its own good. It's right where it needs to be.
Same goes for marketing, the Popplio line keeps on going and won't be forgotten while also not being too overbearing or pushing anything else to the side.

I'm also happy that I was able to bring my Primarina in every competition up to now and always felt that she was doing so well! Considering that i'm pretty bad at GF formats since I mostly play on Showdown, it was a really nice surprise doing good with a Pokémon I really like.

I'm fine with Popplio being owned by Lana because I liked her character in the game and even though it doesn't seem like Lana will be getting any noteworthy battles for awhile Popplio is cute in the anime and I'm sure the episode coming up will have a lot of screenshot worthy moments.

Eh, I am ok with it but also wish it would get some love outside of just being a solid pokemon in the SM games. I kinda feel that it's gonna get shafted a lot otherwise in favor of the others, and as a result it'll be kinda ignored.

At the very least I'd hope for one or two decent move tutor moves. Also something new that can take advantage of Liquid Voice, because Hyper Voice alone doesn't validate an ability, especially when it doesn't get a damage increase for no apparent reason but that they didn't want it to.
