They removed national dex this gen, there's no longer an argument for 'collecting them all' being the point to the game. They literally don't expect you to do it, and there's no reward if you do.

For collecting all the Pokemon I've always a decent reward would be to be given a random shiny Pokemon from all the ones you can encounter in the wild in the game. Or maybe a 6 IV Pokemon or something.
