The player count is so low because the game's novelty and charm are wearing off. Back when the game was brand new (for international users anyway) this general was active. It slowly lost people over the past few weeks because they got bored with the game. I think Deoxys/Reuniclus were the final nail in the coffin for a lot of people. If you don't have them, you can't do well in league matches after a certain point. You also can't do well in the gym. I log in everyday and hang out on this general and check in every so often but I've mostly stopped playing. It's just not very fun anymore.

It's not just this general either. Look at the gym matches. During the last gym, you would get matched up with someone with the same streak as you. You were almost always guaranteed that. In this one though, you get paired up with someone completely random. If you have a 0 streak, you can fight someone with a 7 streak. It's ridiculous and it's because there's barely anyone playing. The servers couldn't find anyone else to match you with so they gave you some random guy instead of actually trying to match based on skill/streak.

I predict this general is dead by next week if they don't nerf Deoxys/Reuniclus/maybe Cosmo Energy. I also think the game will be dead besides whales and newcomers if the next gym is as poorly handled as this one (release broken figures and make the next gym favor their type).

Centralizing the metagame is never a good thing. It also doesn't help that there isn't a good casual mode since they were so stupid to allow forfeiting Room matches to count for the dailies. So basically you can go hard against people fighting for rank or not play at all, doesn't give much of an opportunity to test stuff.

The Leafs continue to lead me to more victories than losses somehow (2850 today) but I still don't really know why. Once something comes that truly stops me in my tracks I won't bother making a new team, I'm sure I'll just quit.

Really not a fan of Deoxys because every team of them is the same, I enjoy the variety in figures and strategies. A strict 1-of limit for EXs would be nice but it'll never happen. I've won more than I've lost against them and Reuniclus but it's rarely fun.

Glitch - not surprising. This game doesn't look like it's programmed that well. The person I played also had Speed Deoxys which only had 3MP for some reason, even right off the bench which was weird now that I think about it. Could it be that their models got swapped at some point. Who knows

Hacking - doubtful

Developers messing around - doubtful but you never know. Like I mentioned earlier, maybe the devs were tested a "Switch Stats" plate or something.

If they want a specific move, the chance get it is this:
70.37% for brain link (100 damage if near another)
50.3% for hyper beam (120 damage with minor drawback)
57.8% for confuse ray

Upgrading the pokèmon storage is sneaky as shit and I imagine they intentionally did so to bait people in spending gems for deck cases.

What you actually need to do.
Go to menu -> View Figures -> Expand

As far I know you can't do Deck -> Edit Figures -> Expand, which is what people would assume.

I would say you should stick to mew, greninja was pretty good at the release of the game here, but now that mew has been buffed and Zapdos exist there's no reason to use greninja other than having a 3mp pokemon in your deck.
Greninja is just way too unreliable, the times that the water shuriken will hit for more than 40 are very fucking slow, and his other attack hits for 60 which wont scare anyone.

For the recorded theres multiple figures that beat my team sometimes... matagross switch move, deoxys A obviously, lucario, lugia, not to mention the big ass miss section they have... mew is hard to kill, magmortar if I bunch up.
