That's actually a common thing in many places, including most of Asia. Sun is seen as a God in many places and people name their kids after it. In some places, people even name their kids after Moonlight.
And it's still not as autistic as naming your kids after colors. Kanto seems to have this tradition of giving kids weird names. Red, Blue, Silver and now Sun. They're all still billion times better than Hilbert and Hilda, though.

I've never thought about this, and if I were to name my children, I'd take more time to consider it. To shoot something of top of my head, Aaron or Arthur for boy, Karina or Cecilia for girl.
Of course, these are just the first good ones that came to my mind. I wouldn't just decide something like this on my own.

I suppose that is true, for me however, I'd prefer a floral theme for them. Chrys if a boy, Xion if a girl. That's only if I have one however. You never know if you'll get more than you bargained for.
