First team I ever took to the League in Blue version.

Vensaur is Zangief because he is dumb muscle that simply enjoys fighting and doesn't mind getting punched in the head all day as long as he's punching back just as hard or harder. He's too dumb to know any other life.

I put Ryo from Art of Fighting as Raichu because they both look successful and awesome on the surface until you realize they get beat up by people they shouldn't be losing to on a regular basis. Ryo's main rival was a little girl named Kasumi Todoh who was half his age. She kicked his ass on a semi-regular basis. Ryo also was surpassed by his own younger sister, who got better at karate than him after a year of training. By contrast, Ryo had been learning karate for most of his life. Raichu was constantly struggling against Water and Flying types, the very things he was born to destroy. But he never gives up hope and tries his best!

I put Amakusa from Samurai Shodown for Fearow. Both Fearow and Amakusa were crazy fuckers who loved ot mock and taunbt their opponents. Fearow used fly a lot and laughed as attacks helplessly missed. Amakusa does that obnoxious thing where he levitates you, sod it's a pretty similar scenario. Also, Fearow was an evil piss off bastard who would Drill Peck people for no reason.

I put Jedah from Darkstalkers as Alakazam because both of them took things way too seriously and have a joyless grim reaper vibe.

Ran out of space in my last post...

Dugtrio's personality most fits Yuri from King of Fighters, Ryo's little sister. Both of Dugtio and Yuri quickly became them sot powerful members of their respective teams with very little training and totally upstarted everyone else. Like Yuri, Dugtrio also sees fighting as fun and a good way to spend an exciting afternoon, not really viewing it as a career, just a fun hobby, despite their talent.

Lastly we have tentacruel, who I set as Ivy from Soul Calibur. Tentacruel is a sadistic edgelord who loved seeing his enemies suffer. He would use Wrap and watch them helplessly struggle to break free, only to get hammer by Surf or Bubblebeam. Ivy is much the same way, just with more of an exhibitionist streak.
