I need help, Is there any way to boost the framerate on mGBA?

I need help, Is there any way to boost the framerate on mGBA? I'm running it on an old 3ds and getting like 17 fps. does the sd card help? I have a 16 gig sd card with like 4 gigs used

Most emulators won't work at full speed on a o3ds. The best way to play GBA games is to inject them into virtual console games and install them as .cia.
