There are those who place a request only one time, those who rerequest, those who request different scenarios with their favorite character, and those who place the same request to be done in various styles by different artists, like shuckle anon.
If a certain character, a request or someone using a trip annoys you that tremendously, you can filter and ignore it.

If that be true, considering the years the drawthreads persist, these threads would be nothing but literally the same requests without them being drawn ever. Which is not the case, the problem nowdays is simply there a fewer artists than 3 years ago.
Maybe you remember people like mvd, vono, regigigass, CompassGhost, vlen, min, Gazing Eye, mintel, mizupaa, somefag/bupiti, sca or russet. They used to come here regularly, some still visit occasionally, but most of them don't come anymore at all.
And maybe you remember how these threads used to reach the bump limit within a single day, sometimes even twice. The threads slowed down after the Janitors cleansed them from any suggestive drawing and request in August '14.

Filtering the words "Panda" and "Swordbro" including replies to that alone made these threads better for me over the last few months, because I don't think fighting shitposting with shitposting is a solution, since it never has been. I see I can't convince you though. Which is fine, I'll stick with my filters nonetheless.
