My best team was a mono psychic team I used on a tourney and on a couple of fights.

This was while ORAS was out.

Without Mega medi and changes to the meta, my team is now useless.

I have a hard time building teams I guess.

Good question. I've been racking my brain for what could be improved.

Leaders should definitely specify what times they are available to battle. They don't need to be incredibly active, but knowing when a leader will consistently online makes a big difference.

Not sure how I would go about the leaders teams. Bringing the teams they earned the leader spot with is kinda cool and consistent, but would be boring for the leaders, but allowing full flexibility with the scouting document the leaders have also allows for counters for the leaders.

Not sure what else could change. Anybody else got any ideas?

I prefer 3v3 when doing monotype because weaknesses are harder to exploit, since Ice is weak to practically everything.
For example, if I get matched against a Steel user, Mamo or a boosted Cloyster might be able to win the game, if I play well.
But if it's 6's, I really doubt either of them can take on an entire team.
It also works the other way around.
If I get paired with ground, I can't just go 'lol gg nerd', the other guy can still outplay me.

viability is purely contextual, changes with the format. That being said, if you're playing multis for fun with people who routinely and continually bring mons that aren't typically used in a competitive environment, then you in contrast bring things which are very viable in those higher competitive formats, it makes it unbalanced. I got no problem with megas of any kind or good viable mons; It's just easier when everyone brings a team that is on the same kind of level. But in the multis we play, people will regularly use shitmons, which can make it more interesting . It can also be discussed before hand if we can play by a certain tier, that might help ease some tension.

In summary, I think some friendos need to understand that in this thread there is room for both competitive and more thoughtless, just for shits and giggles battling

Also, poo in Lew, I will be home at about 8pm EST, we can chimp battle it out then
