I only really got into it seriously this past month.
Played it since the start casually, but more recently I've been getting out every other day to go walking with it.
A nest near me didn't change for multiple weeks, so I thought it was more random than all of them changing at once.

The last few days I have been using my pogo+ at work. I get a ton of distance and it is right by a pokestop, so that is great for making sure my bags are full. However, it has been acting odd. Every day at 8AM pst, an hour after I start work, it disconnects. This isn't from inactivity since there are constantly pokemon and a pokestop setting it off. It also wont disconnect any other time during the day at all. Its only at 8am pst.

You did the right choice

Currently gyms are super unfun. They are super grindy for solo players, riddled with spoofers, players of big teams in a region have trouble finding spots while small teams have trouble taking them. So why not use the chance of a new season like most current pvp games?

Mystic, Instinct and Valor are profitable parts of their brand and Niantic wont change that.

Also team change stays impossible for some reason. The 3 original teams however could be something that adds quests or something, keeping their value by shifting it a little.

But, what if, starting with a new season, you had to pick a new team for that season, while in the off season the good old red blue yellows continues?

We could have any number or combination of teams during those seasons. For example team contemplation (Lugia) vs team ferocity (ho-oh), resulting in two teams battling for a season, then going into off season, having the 3 originals again, then going into the next season and suddenly we get to choose between 8 teams, one for each gym leader.

Also, all gyms reset at season end, rewarding everyone that was able to hold one until then. This way it will feel not that bad to loose a gym thanks to seasons end.

The next step would probably to add special gyms, like obly basic pokemon or only pokemon of a certain type, maybe even that combined with the teams for a season.

It only happened once and I don't know how to do it again, but when I just caught a common pokemon, with a regular pokeball, it skipped the sequences of the pokeball moving around, and two small yellow orbs rotated upwards from the top of the pokeball, indicating it was a successful catch. However, recently I got my 1st 100% IV pokemon which is machop, and I really want to get some machop to evolve this guy. Since I've never tried to find any nests, I have no idea how to do it.

In my university, there is a somewhat large group of POGO lovers and we have a group "chat" as you might call it, and we regularly discuss about POGO, warn everyone about rare spawns, and of course, joke around. For a while, I was the only person that had a POGO+ in the group, until recently. 2 another people got it and they loved it, I helped them set it up and all. A week passed by. They collectively noticed that they received zero evolutionary items, until they spun pokestops in the app, not the POGO+. I realized the same thing happened to me. I've only got a Dragon Scale and a Mirror Coat when I was spinning in the app. We have been testing this for a while, and it seems to be true. However, I obviously know that 3 people is an extremely small data sample size.

I have been waiting to use a lucky egg to mass evolve my pidgey/rattata etc. I evolved my pidgey's first because I had so many. Then I evolved my rattata. Every rattata I evolved supposedly used 25 candy. Except it didn't. I had 16 rattata and 400 candy. I was excited it would be spot on. But it wasn't. I evolved all my rattata and had 16 candy left. So, it seems it only cost 24 rattata candy each to evolve. Has this happened to anyone else?

Let me preface this by saying we both play pogo. She is extremely casual (level 21) and doesn't religiously play. We do however play together on occasions and have a good time with it. She just throws the balls straight to catch things. I on the other hand always throw curve balls and do so in a fashion with my index finger spinning around on the screen for a bit to time it right between the Mon jumping and dodging until the circle is at the optimal size. I am pretty effective at getting great throws at least 75% of the time (less since the update but it is coming back around)... Anyway, I was catching a Mon and my wife goes "do you have to look like such a fag throwing the balls?". Huh?
I proceeded to explain the experience for the curve balls, etc and she told me, "keep it up fag boy". Lol. I think she is jealous.

In the main series games TMs (technical machines) teach only one specific move. There isn't one Master TM to teach every move. Whereas, as OP explained, Heart Scales in the main series games allow a Pokémon to relearn any move they could have learned naturally by leveling up.
Using TMs to fit into the re-rolling moves role doesn't make as much sense when drawing from the source material.

IIRC, Incense spawns Pokemon based on the Biome you are in. So unless the Nest Pokemon is part of the Biome, it is less likely to spawn that Pokemon. Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong?

Out of six 10K eggs, three were Dratini, and two were Chansey. The other was a Sudowoodo, LOL. I've maxed-out four of my Dragonites, so I suppose it's time to hunt more candy to evolve another Dratini to roll the new movesets.

I've been debating on getting the spoof train and just using it to head out into my home town. I live around several historic districts with tons of spots, but several of them are inaccessible islands you have to boat to. I don't think Niantic would be on to me if I spoofed locally.

I sent through a known spoofer's details. Screenshots, photos, messages he had sent people on facebook saying that he had hatched every regional.
I have time and date stamps of gyms where he has won or taken over despite there being no one within blocks (fenced public gardens) and still nothing.

I am interested in how the new moves stack up, but I'm not as concerned with them as I was before today. I just destroyed a level 10 gym by myself using my Gen 1 team of attackers with all legacy moves. They absolutely annihilated that gym. It was filled with the usual cast of defenders, and it went down faster and harder than I have ever seen a gym go down. I look forward to the new moves, and I'm glad I can still depend on the old ones.
