This is Gen 2's contribution in terms of fully-evolved Pokemon. How does it measure up?

I wish Gen I and II were retconned into being a single Pokedex, I feel that was always their intention but they didn't want to change up the numbers.
>>31870448
You forgot about Porygon2
>>31870714
Its right next to miltank
It's the best design-wise
Literally an floating eye and shitty boring sunflower god the worst design ever
>>31870856
It should be in the last row next to Piloswine, thouYa know, Porygon-Z
>>31870448
Great in terms of design.
A lot of shitmons but many great pokemon as well. Stuff like Skarmory and Mantine, Xatu and Azumarill, etc.
All in all a 7/10, not the worst

>nitpicking: the post
I believe most of these designs are at least decent, with most being pretty good(highlights including edge-dog, donphan, and the legends). And Unown is cool, take your trubbish taste somewhere else.
>tfw Arceus changes to his Ultimate Form when you've collected 1000/1000 Unown
Why do people like Lugia? I really don't get it. I think it looks completely retarded.
>>31871173
>Tfw Unown are still useless aside from that
Gen 2 gave us the best Pokemon.
>>31871236
Is that cute remoraid under him?????
Gave me my best bud.
>>31870448
A good mix of competitively viable (tyranitar, Azumarill), competitively trash (sunflora, ledian, stantler), and gimmicks/jokes (unown, delibird). Has some of my favorites but also some forgettable trash. It's so-so I guess.

They definitely meant to include more Pokemon in gen 1. There are index slots for 190 and the unused spaces are all filled with missingno. A lot of Pokemon in gen 2 were probably ones they didn't have the development time/ROM space to put in gen 1.
>>31871183
I always preferred Lugia over ho-oh and I'm not sure why. It has something more to it than "flying rainbow bird" I guess.
>>31870448
Will mainline games ever be this vibrant again?
>>31870448
Crobat
Azumarill
Politoed
Smeargle
Espeon
Umbreon
Forretress
Scizor
Shuckle
Porygon 2
Blissey
Mantine
Skarmory
Tyranitar
All of whom had a significant impact on the competitive meta. Most of which are still used today.
>>31871183
I'm more of a Ho-Oh bro but I can see the appeal
>>31872132
I dunno, man. Those fucking hand wings kill it for me. But even aside from that, I can understand people thinking its ok, but I'm completely baffled that its such a fan favorite.
>>31872157
At least Lugia never uses it's weird feather fingers as hands. That would kill its design for me.
CoughDecidueyeCough.
>>31870448
They actually fucking nailed it, almost all of these Pokémon are cool.
>>31872157
It's because of nostalgia for the second anime movie.
Gen 2 was the best overall generation in terms of pokemon design.
True facts
>>31873217
2 and 4 are dead even imo. 4 brought us magnezone, empoleon, torterra, garchomp, and weavile among others

>>31873639
Mismagius has a better ability in levitate.
>>31873639
It divorced the Ghost type from Poison type which really hurt them in the first game.
