Those who vote HG/SS as best game, what exactly do you see in it? Why is it so better than G/S/C? It wasn't bad, but I don't see the greatness... it is a remake after all

No other game in the series has the effort to detail, post game, range of different catchable Pokemon/legendaries, or fun of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2

If the people here were actually old enough to have played since the beginning they would know that the pinnacle of the series was the GSC era.

The closest it has come to that time is when Platinum/HGSS were out.

I fall under that category but I don't see that being the pinnacle. That game seduces you with the extended postgame (which I don't agree to be considered postgame actually) but nothing else.
Also, if you select a best Pokemon game, it needs AT LEAST to be a game where abilities were implemented already. After that, all other games feel incomplete.
