And yet grass has been an elemental starter choice for 20 years now

I still don't think bug will be a starter type anytime soon (similar to dragon, but who knows), but if I could I would like to see a fire/bug or water/bug starter more than a grass/bug one

Water/Psychic cuttlefish that becomes a kraken. Or mindflayer since starters are all humanoid now.

Water/Fighting mantis shrimp.
