Scroll down and the moves are listed in descending order. Be warned, there are some major upsets in there.
Obviously it should be taken with a pinch of salt because 'average charge time' is a ball-park figure which won't be the same in reality for all movesets, but it gives a much better idea of which moves will give you better damage output than the simple cast-time DPS ranked list.

I haven't touched Pokémon GO in awhile, but since the new update came out, I thought I'd hunt around my campus for a little bit before heading back to my dorm. My school is in the city, so our campus is essentially a bunch of buildings and parks. It was dark out and I was taking out a gym in a park I thought was empty.

I REALLY try to keep this game on the dl because I'm shy about this kind of thing, but as I was sitting on the concrete steps of a statue, I heard a familiar voice.

Slowking has Blizzard, Fire Blast and Psychic as charge moves. All of them are -100 energy.
Blizzard hits 130 in 3.1 seconds (41.9 DPS) while Fire Blast hits 140 in 4.2 seconds (33.3 DPS) and Psychic hits 100 (won't factor STAB right now) in 2.8 seconds (35.7 DPS). We know Psychic is better because of STAB, but let's move on

Based by that they take the same amount of energy, the recommended moveset should be Blizzard > Psychic > Fire Blast, but you display Fire Blast as 7.59, above Blizzard (7.50) and Psychic (5.87). Care to explain why?

Anyone else noticing blue screens and having to restart? I just got one for the first time since gen2 day1 on my galaxy S7

I had been getting them on my frequently on my ipad mini 2 and iphone 5s but i attributed it to just old, no storage (halts cpu/gpu) and ofc apple.

Actually fuck it, I'll show you maths for your example just so you can't accuse me of handwaving. If you disagree with any of this, say exactly what you disagree with and I'll try to give a good answer.

All three of Blizzard, Fire Blast and Psychic will charge in the same amount of time (i.e the time it takes to get to 100 energy). Let's estimate this takes around 14 seconds (based on the average fast move). Because we can't spam charge moves back to back - we need energy for that - we have to add this time onto the cast time for the moves before we can realistically judge how much damage we're going to be doing with them over the course of the battle.

130 damage in (14.2 + 3.1) seconds
130 / 17.3 = 7.51

140 damage in (14.2 + 4.2) seconds
140 / 18.4 = 7.61

I agree with that, what I was trying to achieve with the spreadsheet wasn't so much getting exactly accurate values for the DPS but more like an accurate measure of relative usefulness, in terms of damage potential, i.e if something is listed as having double the realistic DPS as something else, you're going to do twice as much damage if you have that move.

Took liberty for adjusting the formula to account for damage for the fast moves as well (average power * average time to full) was added to the damage side of the formula and results got a little shift; nothing major except for some moves.
