Showdown random battles in a nutshell

Shit like this is why it's so easy to climb the ladder in random battles. People like to FF as soon as literally anything goes wrong.

I actually topped random battles ladder At 1748. And im bad at this game

The most points I ever had was 1701 in ranbats, and my next highest is ubers where I have 1300.

I think it's because I'm shit at team building, and I don't have to worry about that in randoms.

God I hate that.

Like most people here, I have no clue how to build a team and coming up with new strategies with completely random pokemon is a whole lot of fun. At the very least, these sort of players loiter at the bottom of the ladder. Once you hit the ~1400 or so mark, you get more dedicated opponents.

I do throw the match if I'm down to one pokemon in an obviously lost match, though. No use drawing out time.

I don't know, I had someone get very mad once on high ladder that they weren't giving a very good team and started rambling about how it was a conspiracy and smogon is forcing them to lose because they are too good and started talking about how their numbers are better than mine.

I've had people shittalk me in the comments, but that's a whole different level.

That's a little extreme but to be fair once certain pokemon are at +2, I look at my team and see if there's anything I can do. If I can't I'll ff. This happens a lot with Geomancy Xerneas for example. I'll lose a steel type and then the motherfucker switches in Xerneas and sets up.
