I have a flashcart working now with romhacks of some gen 4&5 games that have all the Pokemon obtainable. Could I transfer these Pokemon all the way to SM, or are the legality checks going to stop me along the way?
Should I be playing the normal games instead if I want to pass Pokemon up, but use cheats for event Pokemon?

Everytime I get an item, is just while injecting the Pokemon itself, so I haven't tried before.

For anyone just wanting items, I set up a bot to hand them out.
Get a Golett and nickname it an item index number.
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_items_by_index_number_(Generation_VII)
For example, name it 050 for Rare Candy.
Put it on GTS asking for Landorus.
Mega Stones and Z Crystals don't go through the GTS.
