I like them. Not anywhere near my favorites, but they're alright. Simisear is the only one I am not very fond of.

I really wish that they had more interesting designs. Even the obvious see no evil/hear no evil/speak no evil with related abilities/movesets would be great - you wouldn't need to change much about them visually and their ugliness could be excused because they'd have something else going on. As is, they aren't even fun to use because their stats are poor and their typings/abilities/movepools are so bland. Even some of the worst shitmons have a niche, be it strange move combos or rare abilities, but these guys have nothing. Even their names are boring.

They are, admittedly, pretty good in random battle because they have high levels and almost always carry substitute/nasty plot/strong STAB/good coverage.

I don't get this argument of "dex filler". Sure, each gen has specific starters, legendaries, pseudolegends, early bird, and shit like early bug, fossil etc. But doesn't that make literally everything else dex filler? Like what prevents Munna from not being dex filler yet the monkeys are? If anything, the monkeys have more of a purpose than Munna due to the first gym and the pseudostarter thing they have going.

Whoever thought redoing the teletubbies as pokemon deserves their house on fire. We already had enough with Aipom and Ambipom.

Because Simipour's skirt needs to be knee level and make Simipour line female only, and give them good abilities with also good moves

Yeah, competitively he's not great. I still like his concept.

I'm pretty neutral towards all of em, but I like Simisear the least.

But that's mainly because for the story-mode Darumaka is your only other option for a fire type until you run into Heatmor near the end of your run in BW.

BW2 fixed this by mixing previous gens into the dex.
