It's kinda a scunner that practically no Gen II Pokemon are worthwhile except the obligatory psuedo-legendary of a gen Tyranitar and the ridiculous god-tier Blissey
Guys like Kingdra, Slowking, Scizor and Steelix should have tossed up the meta, but they never got the chance. I just evolved a top tier Gloom and only got a 1750CP Bellossom out of it.
Instead they are stuck at the 2000CP mark, while Dragonite and FUCKING VAPOREON of all Pokemon got stealth buffs due to the moves changing and having Dragonbreath/Water Gun buffed.

Water Gun is the joint 4th best quick move in the game, with Dragonbreath being the best.
Water Pulse also got heavily buffed so it's now usable on attack.

The one nerf to Vaporeon Niantic ever did was the old Water Gun nerf, and now it's been overwritten into a buff.

It's not that Vaporeon shouldn't be that strong, it's that everything else should be buffed

I'd love to see a meta that consisted of 30 Pokemon rather than 5, with Vaporeon still as viable as ever, but not the only viable Pokemon in the goddamn game.

With the new battling system a lot of my old attackers aren't worth shit, Jolteon is fucking ass since Thundershock isn't fast anymore. It's like a glass cannon with no firepower, so it's useless. Meanwhile Vaporeon is a cannon made of fucking titanium.

Heracross is the best fighting attacker in the game, he has the highest cp, and has higher DPS moves than Machamp.
Normal is only weak to fighting type damage.
Blissey and Snorlax are tier 1 gym defenders.
It's incredibly stupid to put the best counter to two annoyingly tanky heroes as a region exclusive. It's harder to attack if they have Zen-Headbutt (also dumb to give them that), but it's still easily doable.
Region exclusives should be mostly useless token pokemon that have little use in the metagame, not incredibly useful ones.

I have an army of Dragonites such that 3000 cp Blissey doesn't bother me yet, and also I have enough gyms to get my max daily.

So I look for level 9/10 gyms for the other team and cripple it if I see a Blissey on the top 2 or three defenders.

If my team takes it back, it usually means there's a more than one attacking it which makes it more likely to be back to a higher level rather than just a level 2 or 3 with open slots.

And if they dont take it back, just makes it harder for the other team to prestige against a 3000+ Blissey

It's not blissey that needs a nerf, but the whole stat CP/stat system that needs to be rebalanced, cause Blissey is just the result of this poorly designed system. 2x multiplier to base HP is too much, extreme defense specialization doesn't make any sense.

The problem is not blissey, its the poorly designed cp made by niantic.

Problem is that defense/sp defense is combined.

Because blissey has 10 base defense and 135 base magic defense. Since they are combined together that is what makes blissey very durable and 2x hp in gyms causes it to be even more frustrating. This means that unlike chansey who has a tradeoff of high hp but low def/cp blissey has no tradeoff causing it to be the most frustrating pokemon to face. It only takes 1 blissey to repel all lower level players in the game entirely.

Physical attacks in the original games can easily remove blissey but in this game it doesnt. The only way to nerf is to reduce its defense and attack so that its max cp is somewhere below 2200-2400 at level 40 with low def/atk which correlates to the main games.

The issue is that with high hp/def she can do so much damage within the 99 second period. Her defense exceeds snorlax with this badly designed cp system.
Having no type attack or special attack can make unbalancing issues. Don't get me started with slaking. Yes slaking.
