Give them some role in the story. They're supposed to be some of the most important figures of the region. Like how Norman was player's father, or how all of BW's cast was involved in the plot in one way or another. That sort of shit makes them memorable. You don't have to shoehorn them into the main storyline. Just give them a bit of a side event, rather than just having them introduce themselves and be overall irrelevant.

Other issue was Lucian is easily mistakable for Will both general style and even team. Bertha's outfit in no way reflects her gimmick. And Aaron's only buglike feature of his design is his shirt having a hex pattern on it and it's barely discernible from his sprite. Flint's afro was at least out of place enough to be memorable, but his outfit also had nothing to do with anything and he had no theme or gimmick to stick out with.
