I'm glad there's so much human trainer pokemon toys now. Back in the 90's there was just some old shitty Ash/Misty/Brock figures, but after that we got virtually nothing for the longest time. There were some one-off releases like the Dawn figure from 2007 and such, but no real anime line of toys.

May also got completely screwed out of figures besides that small May/Manaphy one until recently with the GEM line and the ORAS figure. Why did May never get any promotional merchandize back when AG was originally airing? It's like they missed the boat there.

I think you're right. Lillie was only so bad because the whole game had such heavy cutscene density. I still found the Lillie scenes worse than anything else in the game, but they would've been not nearly as bad if the cutscenes were cut down in general.
