I remember arguing about this when I was playing Roblox in middle school.

2 out of the three are predominently cats, and the last incorporates feline design. Entei is a lion. Raikou is a Saber. Suicune is a qilin with some traits of a cheetah.

Raikou = Raiju's Tiger form + thunderstorm clouds
Suicune = Qilin (basically a giraffe that was mistaken by the Chinese to be a dragon-horse) + aurora borealis
