Let's be real here. We wouldn't be here if we didn't enjoy the games.
There are no bad pokemon games, but to freely admit such a thing would open ourselves up to shitposting of the worst kind because we need to act tough and critique everything to reinforce a sense of high standards and self-worth.

X/Y wasn't bad, it just felt rather lacking compared to what 5th gen gave us.

I hadn't played anything past Gen IV, and decided to start catching up with the games from a few months back, starting with Black. I beat that and Black 2, and I just started X this week.

As someone just experiencing it for the first time, I'll just say I'm extremely impressed by the visuals. Everyone here has been used to it for quite a long time now, but this is all new for me. So far, I think both Gen V and Gen VI introduced much-needed improvements to the series and calling any of the games bad is just silly.

But seriously, X/Y was basically a tech demo for Gamefreak to see how the 3DS functions. Everything about that region screams forgetful.
