Has speed tracking changed? I thought before as long as you don't go over 20 mph it read your distance. But during the V day event I rode around on my bike going probably 12mph and nothing ever got registered in my distance.

I went to my IV calculator and went through the numbers and there were a handful that had one stat was off by one from the actual PoGo stats which is probably because of a rounding error. Only Lapras had a difference in stats greater than 1.

I have exactly one Pokemon that has two off-by-one stats and that's Marowak. But its actual stats were higher than the computed stats which doesn't match the graph so I can't really say if it's Marowak or if the guy making the chart made a typo and didn't give a shit or if my calculator is wrong.

Either way, only Lapras had a non-trivial difference between stats computed by formula and stats actually in-game so now that they're aligned, there isn't another Pokemon that is obviously doomed to be hit with the nerfhammer anytime soon.

Problem is they can't really tell whether a certain GPS coordinate is in day or night. The day/night thing in-game used to be set at 6am / 7pm but now it switched to like, whatever your phone says is sunrise/sundown and your phone's opinion of the day status doesn't contribute to spawns at all so it's kind of pointless if PoGo isn't a single-player game.

You could be all "Oh just say it's 7pm according to time zones" but the two hemispheres have different sunrise/sundown times and the poles have their own fuckery too. It's a pointless feature for a global scale multiplayer game with a centralised server.
