feel like Oranguru lore, combined with easter egg where Mom's Meowth tries to wake you up with an awakening (attempting to use man-made item) plus Malamar from last gen along with previous lore about humans / pokemon being the same…
It's all there to add depth and imply humans and Pokemon could be equal, or Pokemon could become trainers, set up communities etc

Normal STAB is worthless when your a Psychic type with Ghost and Fighting coverage. Porygon-Z(outside of Trick Room) and Drampa(in Trick Room) are better special Normal types anyway
