The plot is as linear as the other. It's doesn't pretend not to be. B&W were a bit more elaborated, but it's just a matter of enphasis that's all

In hindsight, XY themselves weren't so bad. However, the trend that they'e created has indeed killed the series. S&M were supposed to be a return to the old days of quality games. Yet, here we are, S&M are now widely considered as being up there with ORAS in hate. At this point, I'm given up hope. Gen 4 and 5 will remain the golden years forever
