Strength is now rock type, what happens to the meta?
It makes sense, it has always been used to move giant boulders and the stadium animations used a giant boulder too. Rock needs a reliable move

Strength has a ridiculously high level of distribution. Some Pokemon who could benefit from hit:
>Forretress
>Pinsir
>any Rock type
>Meganium
>Sceptile
>Breloom
>Shiftry
>Mawhile
>Medicham
>Sharpedo
>Spinda
literally almost everyone

Strength description: The target is slugged with a punch thrown at maximum power.
If anything, it should be a Fighting-type move, especially considering that Machamp is now the only Pokemon that can learn it.

whatever bigot

>Machamp is now the only Pokemon that can learn it.
Am i the only one upset that the other ride pokemon dont learn their respective field moves via level up
Like how tauros and sharpedo dont learn rock smash by level up etc etc

Yes

Brelooms are already running Rock Tomb anyways. Strength will not be used on it because breloom needs the added speed drop and the Technician boost makes it more powerful.
Trust me. Breloom is my favorite pokemon

Reminder Charizard is the backbone of transportation around Alola yet doesn't even exist in the dex. Those ride Pokémon get no recognition.
>>31810267
yeah because HMs are still a thing in other regions, just not Alola. Did you ever talk to the surf girl? They're obviously just Pokemon who have been taught TMs/HMs.

volcarona banished to uu forever

Ride pokemon was a mistake.

Anyone who needs a rock coverage already runs either Stone Edge or Rock Slide, save few exceptions who can't learn either. Rock wouldn't become much more threatening, just a bit safer since you'd have a better Rock Slide. I don't see that many pokemon that couldn't learn Rock Slide before running Strength, so Volcarona's checks would remain the same
