Better yet, why the fuck would you not introduce a new 80 BP Fighting special move as fucking everything has it? Aura Sphere nature as a kamehamehadoken makes Gamefreak stingy with the distribution, then why not make a fighting move with good distribution? I don't know, Energy Punch or Blast, a concussive blast is something that a shit ton of mons could do and make it a Fighting type move is not stupid. Make it 70 BP if you don't want it to be too powerful.

Focus Blast is what happens when untrained fighters try to access the raw spirit that only certain special pokemon can hone over years of practice, and then fire it off as a ball of energy. They can't control the power, and so it shoots in the vague direction of the enemy and good luck if it hits.

For your run-of-the-mill pokemon, that's it. That's the limit of their ability to control fighting-type energy. Skilled punches and kicks can be learned with some practice, forming that energy into a literal ball is another thing entirely.

For most pokemon, the kind of advanced control that is required for Aura Sphere is just impossible. Unless you're a lobster.
