I liked this gen. Even thought there's only a handful of non-sub90 mons, I still like the designs of Alolamons and Alola forms.

Decent. A few steps backwards in some regards, but overall rather ambitious for a pokemon game. Nice to see they're finally doing what almost all other rpgs have in terms of reskinned enemies with different moves/stats/abilities as well as a semi-functional map, and the removal of HMs was a godsend

The games were meh. Really haven't played either since I beat the story. They set out to make games with no replay value and they succeeded.

Say goodbye to the main series having any sense of adventure or exploration again. Having "friends" forced on to you and being railroaded from cutscene to cutscene for the sake of terrible plot is what Pokemon is about now.

Not very good.
Too many cutscenes, way to much handholding that limits exploration and makes the game a slog.
The story is uninteresting as it revolves around shallow waifu and her family problems and has literally nothing to do with the player character.

It lags like shit, terrible resolution, every battle takes for ever due to lags, 20seconds just to get passed the enemy encounter cutscene.
Terribly shallow post game, the battle tree is a nice challenge, but every game has had it.

Also they don't have megastones for a lot of pokemon, and you have to get them through silly timed events.

I 100% the game, and I can tell you it's below average at best, literally just made a post like this.

XY > BW > SM > GS > RB > RS > DP

It was of the best games by far. At least to me.

Most fun I ever had playing through a Pokemon game. Technically and mechanically, it lacks a few things, like dungeons, but it does an amazing job making the world feel alive and gave me a sense of adventure that I hadn't felt for a Pokemon game since my first game.

I loved it.

I was disappointed by Alolan forms being Gen 1 only

The cutscenes did drag on around the middle of the game.

I find Acerola annoying, but I get why people like her

I don't get why we never find out who the Masked Royal is.

I liked the game. 10/10
