Sometimes I like to think about just how far Pokemon has come. I mean, everyone and their mother knows what Pokemon is, and it really has defined itself as a universal franchise that will probably/hopefully never go away.

I'll go a step further and say I'm not only okay with the direction the franchise is going in, but I actually love it. Never been happier with the franchise. Though I still don't like all the content they removed from the recent games, like dungeons, but overall, they've been pretty damn good.

I'm a Blastoisefag, and I don't mind Charizard pandering, at least in the anime. I have this fear of sorts that if Charizard wasn't so popular, Kanto starters would've been ignored like Johto or Sinnoh ones. So, every time they give Charizard a big role in the anime, Blastoise gets one too, as someone Charizard has to beat. This happens almost always. Ash had a Charizard, Gary got Blastoise. Red had a Charizard, Blue got a Blastoise. Alan had a Charizard, Siebold got a Blastoise. Trevor had a Charizard, Tierno got a Blastoise.
Even if it's just a side effect of Charizard's popularity, Blastoise gets screentime. It's not always looking great, but it still manages to look good. Some screentime is better than no screentime, and I'm thankful for that.
Feel bad for Venusaurfags. They'll be forever cucked. At least their starter is strong, so there's that.

Yup. I was pretty happy at that. It was an Elite 4 against a random side character we were just introduced to, so no one really expected Charizard to win, but the way Blastoise won was just awesome. The Dragon Pulse looked great.

Pokémon is my life, the state of my mental wellbeing and overall satisfaction with life is entirely dependent on the quality of Pokémon games.

I'm happy my bro is finally great after being mediocre to bad for 15+ years.

The new Pokemon anime is cute and fun, and I love it. The only problem it has is Ash.
I wish there was a more serious anime, but as far as ashnime is concerned, this season is turning out to be my favorite one. Ashnime can't be serious. It is shit in that regard. So going for completely cute and nice looking show that is just fun to watch is the better way to go about it.

lets be honest here: you can like a pokemon game the least, but you won't dislike it or hate it

There's a lot wrong with the new games, and I'm not one to overlook valid criticism of any gen and any games, but I have never been disappointed by any games at all, and the new games have been the best in so long for me, even with all the sut features and rushed content.

Hating is when it gets wrong, such a strongly negative feeling over something so trivial is not good for anybody. It's just as bad as hating pokemon.
