Daily fucking reminder that Niantic wants to implement changes in the gym system. So don't put your panties in a bunch because you have so many Chanceys ready to evolve.

I'm really hoping Niantic is serious about changing the battle system. I had an abysmal time a few hours ago. Constantly having my swipes read as taps is infuriating. Or switching out to a different pokemon yet your guy stays in for 3 more hits before they actually switch. Sometimes this gets them KO'd. And the automatic team set up. Good on paper but bad in execution. There needs to be a preset teams button or something. It's extremely annoying to set up your team, get an error and have to go through the whole thing. Also they're suggested team can be really shit. Like putting all your pokemon with type disadvantage first when they're are ones with advantage in the team.

I like Abra but I had already got my first Alakazam before hatching them. It puts me at 70 something candies so I still need a good amount more to try to evolve another one. The Kazam I got though is Psycho Cut/Shadow Ball.

Alakazam can and does put out the best theoretical DPS but he's shit for prestiging which is the only thing an attacker is good for. He is so paper thin that a Tauros with Zen Headbutt could kick his shit in without extreme dodging.

I have some 1000 CP Alakazams I use against Snorlaxes but only as a backup. Usually I use my ~1200 CP Water Gun screen mashers for ~2k CP Snorlaxes, and 1500-1800 CP "too high to prestige" battlers when there's a 2500+ CP Snorlax to prestige against. That or I just give up at the Snorlax because it's more prestige not to bring stronger mons.

Also in the interview, Hanke said Pokemon Go made enough money in 2016 to support Niantic for a long time, possibly forever. "Last year has funded us, you know, indefinitely, really," he said.

On another thread I mentioned that I was powering up my 82% Frost breath/dragon pulse lapras, Some anon said that I would regret doing that when I get a better IV and non-shitty moveset Lapras and I replied that it took me 400 eggs to hatch a Lapras and they are virtually non-existent in this country so egg hatches are the only source.
Well, I was saving 10km eggs for a double candy event and guess what one of them hatched? A worse IV and same moveset Lapras! But I'm happy for the candy because I'm used to my shit luck when it comes to useful mons.
