Old idea, based on the desire of a mon that not just cycles through set forms and multiple types but does both. Thought of it extending out from the robot from the pokestar studios movie, different keys giving it different optimizations and all that. Is probably too strong since it would have to have a WIDE pool of moves to have all modes be functional, creating unintended interactions, also too much specializing in stats and abilities, potentially.

Using the key cycles through a set of typings, like:

Flavorwise, they definitely should, given he still has filter to protect him from the increased ground/fighting weakness, but I think I did it that way because bug/steel is superior defensive typing (most of these decisions IIRC were based on where the second typing most fit with the type's benefits to steel, but even then, >grass).

Fast decent attack Bug/Steel Pheromosa lite actually does sound pretty cool though.

Also just realized that this concept is effectively UB lite to an extent (though done like a year ago, so...)

Same guy here, did a prevo for one of my old fakemon. The big one was supposed to be a single stage at first, but i decided to make it a two-stage line.

Prevo is based on Chaplin, my hornbill. I had this idea when watching PBR videos and thinking about how perfectly he would fit in the game with a model like the Pokemon, and how cool it would be with him standing in the ground with his large wings.
Evo is based on a hornbill, a turkey, and a heron. The casque shoots fire.
Both are Fire/Flying type.

I fancy the tail fan myself, seeing how Cinccino is already rocking the "scarfed mammal" niche, plus that opponents can just grab the tail if they want to strangle it. Given its regal look, one can justify its fan tail by how it's a popular pet for royalties since it could keep them cool in the throne rooms or what have you, and if you want to go down that route you can also give it some wind moves for shenanigans.

That said, the fan end of the tail could have less strands and instead be more similar to an actual fan and keep the fur tufts limited to the fan's edge.The body could also use some additional details too, so if possible, look up other examples of fancy/royal clothing and see if anything can be incorporated, like maybe its front legs can get those puffy shoulderpads that was popular during medieval times.

Nothing to really say about your art style overall, works great with fakemon designs.

I liked the tail too, since it adds to its fanciness and I also thought about the possibilities of wind moves. The strands are supposed to resemble the bunches of ermine tails that were often added to fur coats as decoration like pic related, I'd rather not turn it into a literal fan. I agree that its body could use some additional details. It's definitely meant to be a pristine white with not a lot of other colors, but I'll look into some other royal fashion styles for inspiration.
I don't think Cinccino's existence should rule out the scarf design tho. I'd say they're different enough. Thing is that both designs really work for me, so I can't decide on which one to use.
Also don't call that an art style, it's just my concept sketches that I shit out. My finished fakemon art is more like Sugimori-lite.

Your art is super cool tho, I like the extra effort you put into those backgrounds. I remember helping you out when you were designing those grass/flying lizards.

Since a lot of my sprites are pretty busy, I've started experimenting with a design that was based on a simple geometric shape. Here's a first draft of Obelost, a Psychic/Steel (or Rock) based on the idea of the Tabula Rasa with some 'long lost, advanced civilization' vibes.

ye I'm the creator. My reasoning was that the star would take over it's head, having more of a cosmic concept. I tried making it's nose a very elongated star but it just didn't feel right. I'll have to play around with them more.

I've kind of had an idea for a Fakemon based on the Indigo Snake, a constrictor from the American southeast that kills is prey by thrashing about and slamming it into nearby objects. I guess this'd be a Fighting-type with some combination of Thrash/Outrage and Own Tempo. Maybe an ability that increases the damage of Wrap.

This is supposed to be a non-legendary trio. Along with the mantis and the dragon bug, there's also a monarch butterfly, but i couldn't make a design i liked so it's not here.
So, the green one is supposed to be a "Gallade as a bug" kind of thing, a Bug/Fighting mantis prince/knight that protects a Bug/Fairy monarch butterfly princess. It's supposed to look classy and heroic, but it just looks dumb right now. Also, the hat isn't a fedora, it's a musketeer hat.
The Bug/Dragon thingy, however, is SUPPOSED to look dumb and bizarre because it's based on those medieval dragon paintings with weird anatomy. Don't know what to add to it. It's also based on that bug that kind of looks like a dragon but i forgot its name.

Please, give me suggestions so i can fix the designs tomorrow (it's late where i live, so i won't be fixing them now). You're welcome to redraw them if you're a drawfag too.

Here's an electric bunne I made. It's based off resistors. Pure Electric type, and its ability is Volt Absorb.

Design wise there's not a whole lot of 'electric' to it aside from the resistance diagram whiskers, and maybe the lightbulb-shaped tail. I mean, I like that way more than lightning bolt shaped ears or something, but it lacks that Pokemon whimsy.

I think that making an infinity loop shape with the whiskers would be interesting, especially alongside those resistance symbols. The ears could also go a long way; I look at them and think of them twisting like CFL bulbs, but they aught to be anything but regular rabbit ears.

While they seem a lot weirder than most designs I've seen, I like them a lot

The best thing about the grass line is that it evolves from a little coconut thing into a dual Anger/Malicious tiki mask design. Seriously love that it's a Tiki palm tree spider. A+

The fire elephant line isn't that bad, but I feel the hair on the final in that line should be replace by elongated ears draped around onto opposite sides with a gold ring at the end of them. A-

Other than the lack of the first mon in the ammonite line, I'd definitely train it. Are the fists on the final evo meant to bash into it's enemies with the front, or does it whip it around and slash them with the water jet? A

The first forms could be a bit 'cuter' imo. Look at the canon unevolved starters, they all have appearances that would appeal to young children.
I like the concept of a knight for the water starter though.

Cool thanks. Tiki palm tree spider horror was straight up me trying to make this thing family friendly. I really like the idea with the ears but I actually deliberately make them smaller since Indian elephants have smaller ears than Africans. The hair does look kind of out of place and has literally nothing to do with the Indian motif. I just thought it looked good.

And yeah, they're jet propelled fists. The lines are grass/dark, fire/psychic, and Water/fighting. I didn't really see a way to make that look like a fighting type without big dumb shell fists.
