This does not ruin the design choice by any means. Each account will have the same feeling as a prior system. So if we were to get limited to 8 accounts and each account would get a save file, we would be able to have 8 save files per system

While technically true, I feel it was a choice made with the intention of "forcing" people to buy another copy of the game if they wanted to play again, either by playing on the new copy or transferring and playing again.
