But Fire type moves are boosted in the sun just like Water type moves are boosted in the rain. Instead of gaining speed in the sun like Water types with Swift Swim gain when in the rain they gain the ability to shoot off Solar Beam without it having to be charged.

Solar Power doesn't seem that bad since it pretty much gives you STAB on Special Attacks but it does have poor distribution.
