It's a starter. It would've been okay if it (and Torracat) didn't evolve from Litten, but Incineroar and Torracat have completely different personalities from Litten.
>Rowlet becomes stuck up and desires perfection because it's constantly complemented on how cute it looks (Well, this isn't actually stated but Rowlet is obviously supposed to be the "aaawww, look how cute it is!" starter)

Have you seen all four of its limbs? Not only do they have no muscle tone, but Incineroar's lower arms and legs are ridiculously thin compared to its torso and its wrists are thinner than its fingers.

Game Freak trying their best to make evolutions to look as detached from their own selves as possible so each form has its very own personality.

One said Incineroar was described as if he were a RPG character, but Generation 6 (including its starters) and to a extent, Generation 5 already had hints of this.

God I can't find one thing I like about this thing. I'm really trying to like it, even my previous least fav had some things going for it, but I hate everything about Incineroar. The head is awkwardly slapped on the body, the proportions are wonky, the sausage fingers are awful, the stripes look terribad and that red is way too flashy, I hate wrestling and that grey chest is terrible. I hate that chest. That grey is vomit inducing, and is uglier than any eldritch abomination ever thought of. God.
But I can see people liking wonky cereal mascots. It's just the exact opposite of everything I could've ever wanted. Such a disappointment. Also shooting flames from its belt is awkward as shit.

I mean, it's less the paws, because they might make sense with the grappling thing and the tiger theme is still there, but the proportions and like you said, the bare grey torso are just plain jarring. The belt is... okay even if a bit plain, but it's so legitimately weird how the belt's the only way it can fire anything at all.

I like that people give it a chance and often draw it doing cat stuff, which I find endearing, but once I'm off the fan art realm and playing the actual game, it's back to square one for me. It doesn't help that the game itself describes the species as this completely selfish, violent personality, with no hints to what the website said. If their intention was to make me hate it, gosh darn, I guess they nailed it. But I don't even hate it, I just find it too weird to even look at, always constantly jerking around while thrusting its waist/pelvis every time it wants to shoot something with its belt.

Popplio was my backup and it turned out to be almost exactly what I thought it would be so there was nothing to be disappointed about but Incineroar was such a kick in the face. It still hurts. Still like Litten because it's cute and Torracat is fine as well but I'll straight up punch anyone in the face who even thinks that the man in a fursuit is a good Pokemon.

I love the owl myself and I was actually kind of hoping the anime would make Rowlet a little bit more light-hearted and silly. That's all I wanted and hopefully, if he does get the chance to evolve, that silly quirky personality still being there and not being such a serious bird head or, maybe he is a bit, but gets easily ruffled and in panic, like the website says and is mostly chill.

As a owlfag myself (I ain't calling myself bro, man), I honestly think we should wait for a actual depiction on the anime (not sure when that day'll come), who knows, on whether it specifically just walks on its hind legs or if it's also capable of running normally in all fours, to shut up everyone for once. And also, show its proportions correctly, although the animation in the series might impact this (see Alolan Persian). The way how Incineroar is depicted in the games though (particularly the walking/running animations that are about in Youtube) doesn't leave me very hopeful though, since in both cases, he's specifically walking on two and the same applies to the way he's animated in his Z-Move animation.

You might find this jolly and I don't particularly hate Incineroar either, I'm mostly apathetic towards it, but everyone's got opinions and even if some aren't right, doesn't mean they can just willfully forget about it and accept it. Some are capable, others are not and even if the whole game hype dies down and another game comes, people might still have the same opinion, unless something surfaces that changes their mind altogether (thus the whole anime thing). Either people like something or not and sometimes, people might not like certain pokemon designs due to not understanding them. Or maybe they do, but they might find themselves caring too much about it.
