Whether it's bad distribution of a high total (e.g. many mixed attackers), stats that don't fit the mon's design (Sceptile isnt a physical attacker) or simply a mediocre BST (Golurk), a lot of mons just deserve better than what they got.
In this thread, redistribute stats in a way that makes sense, to improve mons you think deserve to be better. Add a move or two that fit its flavour if you want- give them a new ability if it makes sense (avoid Huge Power, Speed Boost, etc).
Don't make them broken- just give them a good niche. And remember that even though Ledian might be your bro and might deserve more than 390 BST, it doesnt make sense to give it one higher than Tyranitar's.
Try to avoid minmaxing where possible- remember that even the more optimised mons don't have their weaker offensive stat much lower than 60.
I'll start us off.
Flygon
BST: 520 > 540
HP: 80 > 80
Atk: 100 > 70 (-30)
Def: 80 > 80
SpAtk: 80 > 120 (+40)
SpDef: 80 > 80
Speed: 100 > 110 (+10)
Now learns Quiver Dance
R8 and h8.

Gets a physical Thunderbolt clone called Cable Shock, and Electric Surge as an ability (other older mons would get the other Surges)
A bulkier, physical alternative to Koko on your team.

Here's how I'd do it

Atk: 100 > 100
Def: 80 > 70 (-10)
SpAtk: 80 > 100 (+20)
SpDef: 80 > 70 (-10)
Speed: 100 > 120 (+20)
Now learns Quiver Dance
There, now while a little more frail, Flygon can effectively use both Dragon Dance and Quiver Dance to throw off opponents and simultaneously pack a speed tier surpassing both Garchomp and Zygarde 10% instead of just Garchomp.

Emboar's movepool is pretty damn colorful, but has a limited lifespan when making use of Reckless. Drain Punch would make Bulk Up and Assault Vest sets actually worthwhile.

Movepool additions: Shell Smash, Sacred Sword, Earthquake(Pokepark 2 showcases this), Roar(Dragon Tail is inferior as it can't phaze away Fairies), Iron Defense(won't do much but would finally be able to make use of it's HA)
Seems that Samurott got the short end of the stick out of the three. Shell Smash and Sacred Sword for obvious reasons. I feel if Samurott was not starter, Gamefreak might've given it a complete movepool it deserves. Feels bad it's my favorite of the three too.

Earth Power Serperior... really so many mons could use that move. Why they hold it back but give everyone and their mum Earthquake, i dont know.
Emboar and Samurott fixes work too. Shell Smash would be insane on Rott
