Grass in general is dying after FoGP rotates. Yanmega is gone permanently, Decidueye is useless, Lurantis loses its blitzkrieg power though Lurantis/Beedrill doesn't really need FoGP to win games so it might hang on, especially with the baby Lurantis, and Serperior goes from tier 4 to unplayable. Meanwhile Dark is just fine.

Depends how long you want to sit on them, e-bay moves fast but you'll probably take a lower price.

Most sets codes are worth $0.20-$0.50, ROS are worth about $0.80.SM are going to be worth probably $0.70 or so eventually, but right now the prices are depressed by the mass openings that happen when a new set drops so I'd sit on those for awhile.

here's a starting guide, dont't pay for a USPS flat rate box to send code cards when 100 of them weigh like 6oz or something lmao.

Bought 80 cards from some guy for $7.50 and he sent them in a flat rate box that cost $7.00 to send. Small numbers of cards can be sent in letter envelopes but bigger lots are best sent in a soft envelope.

If you want to maximize profit you should sell individuals or small lots. Another option is e-mailing codes which is appealing to most buyers (mostly because it's way easier to cut and paste codes than it is to even use QR reader) and 100% free, but be sure to explain that in the item description.

E-mail also adds an option for more communication which gets you ratings, could send in the code message that you'll give them a bonus code if they give you a positive review and send you a response with a link to it, then give them an extra shit pack like evo or fac. Having good reviews and keeping shipping low is pretty important for individual operators in a market that has a lot of big retailers offering discounts and sales.

Unless you're sending expensive cards there's not much need, if you're just selling code cards you're probably not dealing with big money items, and even if you're sending hard copies of code cards as long as the code's legible it doesn't matter how bad post fucks them up.

Especially if you just e-mail codes, then there's no risk of anything fucking up except your transcription of them, just be sure to double check them. before sending.

I should specify that basically, if you're selling small lots the worst someone's going to fuck you for is like $5 or so and the overwhelming majority of people won't fuck you on such tiny amounts of money. If they do just blacklist them, it's usually cheaper to take a hit once in awhile than to spend money on insurance.

Been havning fun with this Vikavolt deck, which surprisingly works. Very easy to recycle the energies and thanks to the ability you can get one running immediately. Main issue is being a little slow, but if you can evolve at least 2 Grubbins on turn 1 you should have a fast start.

I'm sure it can be modified to be better, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

I just don't see the point of Vikavolt when Raikou BKT exists.

1. it's a basic, only needs 4 cards instead of 12, FFB is usable
2. With ability it only has 10 less EHP, still above 130, and again can use FFB to hit 180EHP
3. Needs 3 energy to attack instead of 4, doesn't discard energy
4. With 4 energy it hits the same magic number threshold that Vikavolt does
5. Not totally crippled by ability lock

I kind of get what TCPI was trying to do here, it's like a Raikou/Magnezone deck in one line, but it just seems so much slower.

Ok guys I'm in a weird situation. I'm getting into the game (the cards for the Volcanion deck are still in the mail) but I just learned that the Anaheim regionals is next Saturday the 18th. I'll have my deck by then but I won't have any actual play experience with it since I won't be able to go to a LGS meet up before the 18th.

The only thing I can do is meet up with a friend who doesn't play PTCG but is a CCG player and have him proxy some meta decks to practice against (although S&M will be legal by the 18th so who knows what that is going to be).

They did it for a reason, it was because you almost never even used special punch on Hitmonchan, you just used 2 jabs and you'd KO Electabuzz, and 3 would KO most of the other basics. You never wanted to stack too much energy on one pokemon because of how strong trainers were in base.

Wasn't until Scyther came in Fossil that special punch became necessary sometimes (2 pluspower punches plus one unboosted would KO) and even then you'd usually just try to scoop up/switch/gust of wind to get Hitmonchan out in that matchup.

ROS/SM are the current base unit packs. They're worth twice as much when you're trading them for low demand cards, but all of the GX pokemon are currently in demand. SM packs will slowly fall in value (and have already fallen a bit) but probably remain higher than anything other than ROS.

Sets like Evolutions and Fates Collide are basically worthless when it comes to trading for good cards, you'd have to trade almost 100 of them before you could get a Shaymin for example. Sets like BKT, BKP, STS, ect. are kind of in between.

If you see an untouched box of Sun and Moon you can tell where all the ultra rares are by buying the first two packs in each row. The order is Holo > 2 duds > ultra rare > 2 duds > holo and then it repeats per each side. So in theory you can buy 9 packs out of a box and hit every ultra rare in it, or holos if you need any but the most expensive one is Oranguru at two bucks so just buy them single.

Like you lead Eevee on a Yveltal deck, energy evolution into strafe, switch to Oblivion Wing Yveltal, get dark energy on him, get dark energy in discard then oblivion wing to attach it.

Once Altar of the Moone drops in May dark decks with Umbreon are going to be even more fucking cancer, because with that down you can then switch your Yveltal out for free to Yveltal EX, Darkrai, Umbreon with enough energy for a shadow bullet, ect. and then switch between them at will at no cost because they all have a retreat of 2.

Getting really fucking sick and tired of the final rounds of tournaments being rigged. Every fucking time I get every copy of a card prized or I dead draw due to horrifically impossible clumping. The strongest argument for going second is being able to have the chance to essentially donk or win the prize trade in very aggressive games.

Turbo Dark can do well going second, but it's a very energy reliant deck so for that reason and for the aforementioned reasons going first is probably still better. A better example is Night March from last year's standard format which was even better at cheesing wins on the draw, but even then it was arguably still better to go first against everything except the mirror/Vespiquen since getting Hex Maniac'd/Trevenant'd/Vileplumed etc. was such a threat. So yeah, going first is pretty good.

What kind of Decidueye decks you guys are running?

My list is just something I slapped together and so far 7 wins 1 loss, very good against mirror thanks to hammer and hex maniac and decent against fire decks thanks to weakness policy and hex maniac. Also 3 vs seekers because I needed space for something else that I can't remember and you can get vs seekers back with Hollow hunt, I do it pretty much every game.

Kukui has been great so far and why 3 float stones when your bench warmers are 1 retreat cost, I don't think its necessary, 2 would be fine for sure though, but most of the time you will start with the owls anyway. And Shinootic has been great too, 1-1 line is just little too inconsistent for my taste though.

And Rotomdex is banned atm. and I don't like Brigette because if you don't get it first turn, its useless, most of the time I can get 2 Decidueyes on play on turn 1 anyway and 3 for turn 2 and it seems good enough.

And why not have 1 or 2 weakness policies when Volcanion is really Popular.

I think you may have slightly misread the card. Each player draws a number of cards from the deck (not from their prizes) equal to the number of prize cards they have left.

The person with 1 prize left would only have a 1 card hand, but the game would not be over.

PTCGO is the best online card game out there atm

there is no pay2win because you can't pay for cards, but people who have shaymins will have a big advantage over you in standard, and it's hard for a new player to build in expanded/legacy. If you follow the guide you can have enough value to trade for a competitive standard deck in about a month of playing a few games and maybe 1 tournament a day.

There is a themedeck only format you can try to get a feel for the game, just keep in mind that real decks play wayyyyy faster.

3 years ago, I'd have told you it was kind of lame, but combined with trading, the fact that the base decks they give you are pretty good, and the interface (minus the shitty facebook game avatars) which is also pretty great, I'd say go for it. The gameboy games are also pretty good if you want a little more structure.

As far as pay2win is concerned, it's pretty minimal, non-existent if you play theme decks exclusively. There's a huge emphasis on buying physical product and using those codes with this game, which does quite a bit for both physical and digital versions of the game.

Raikou/Electrode placed top 8 in one or two regionals IIRC and has taken a few top 32s. It's not a meta crushing deck but the fact that it has a really good matchup against most Yveltal variants makes it viable considering that Yveltal-EX is probably the overall most dominant archetype atm.

Poor matchups against M-Garde/M-Mewtwo decks really hold it back though.
