So people have often talked about Ground and Rock thematically overlapping too much and being merged into 1 type.
Let's say that did happen. What type relations would you give it? What would the implications for the meta be? Which mons receive major buffs/nerfs?
Pic related is the most direct combination of the 2, though I think I'd let it be neutral to Flying and instead have some Earth moves like EQ/Bulldoze fall under a new category of grounded moves that can't hit aerial opponents (possibly along with Surf, Muddy Water, Sludge Wave, Whirlpool, among others). Also not too sure about all the Pokemon gaining a Normal resistance.
It shouldn't resist Normal if it keeps the electric immunity.

>All those weaknesses
Fuck you. Ground doesn't deserve to be paired with such a shit typing

More like it shouldn't exist at all
>5 weaknesses on the same type
>all ground types retconned into this
It's weird because I don't think Ground and Rock need to be separate attacking types, but they do make sense as separate defensive types.

Well if this was part of some overall type chart rebalancing, it might lose the Water weakness.
Make rock type exclusive to fossils to differentiate it from ground type.

>If it has weaknesses it's bad
That's why rayquaza is a pu shitmon
