>Streak 17
>Memechomp with scarf
>Hit enemy with super effective move
>Is left with 1HP with literally no focus sash/sturdy shit
>Proceeds to sweep my whole team
What is this fucking bullshit
Everyone already beat this.
Beat Super singles a long time ago. Pretty easy to be honest. But I just beat Super doubles and here's what I have for tips.
>Forget team strategies. .
If you bring a rain team, they'll bring a batter rain team that beats yours. Or more often they'll bring a weather team to replace your weather with their own. If you bring trick room they'll bring slower mons too.
>Just use pokemon that synergize
Make sure that each mon has a super effective hit on what ever type the other mon is weak to, as well as make sure there's no type that resists both movesets of your mons.
I'll reply to this with the team I beat it with.

Impish Nature
- Earthquake

Basically first turn I mega fake out one of the opposing mons. If the one I choose to fake out is ghost I intentionally don't mega so I can hit them with Kangaskhan's Scrappy. With one of them flinched, even if the other attacks azumarill, it's bulky enough to take the hit and set up belly drum. Proceed to sweep.
Sylveon for coverage and spread damage, gliscor for stall, wall, and taunting annoying shit like spore and hypnosis users.
>Lead Kang vs Mamoswine
>Fake out
>Return: Kangaskhan missed!
>ok wtf man come on that's just annoying
>Return: Kangaskhan missed!
>.
>Mamoswine used fissure!
>It's a One-hit KO!
Whats a good super doubles team? I was thinking about using my Top Lel and Megamence but i'm clueless on the rest

I feel like I'm never going to get through fifty battles in super singles. I see all these videos and read posts from people who are like 800+ wins in with some goofy ass Wurmple set or something, but I've tried my teams from Battle Maison and even tried suggested "Easy Battle Tree Wins" teams and always get cheesed around the mid-forties or so. The most recent loss was to a Mega Swampert at battle 48. Felt really cool.
What am I missing here? It just feels like no matter what comp I bring, what cheese I try, there's always some random ass dude with a finer assortment of cheese. What strategies are you guys using?
>>31710719
Ooooh boy let's start
>Anything with bright powder
>protect toxic avalugg
>Quick claw blizzard Glaceon
>Double team tyrantrum
>Rock slide flinch for days aerodactyl
Have problems in doubles?
Just a reminder, fuck defensive mons in the tree, go full offense.
I did it with char x, tapu lele, lando t and porygon z. One shot these bitches. Oh and rock slide works wonders.
How do I share a battle video?
>>31711542
Talk to the computer inside your castle.
Thoroughly cucked Cynthia. She switched a bit, but I'm not sure why she didn't Mega.

Mega mence, koko, primarina for singles
Same team above plus whatever you like/works for doubles
Multils is almost pure luck
>>31712083
>kept switching
>keeps using Recover as Toxic damage gets worse
>keeps Outraging and getting confused
>attempts to get shit together with Spiritomb but fails miserably
>never mega'd

You think Scarf Chomp + Discharge, Bug Buzz, Protect, Volt Switch Vikavolt would be a good duo to pair as leads in Doubles? Obviously backed up by a good Water type and another hard hitter (either M-Metagross or M-Scizor) to take out Ice and Fairies.
I know Vikavolt sucks but
>Bug Buzz hits through Sub
>Immune to EQ Chomp because of Levitate
>Chomp immune to Discharge so Vikavolt can spam
>Volt Switch to pivot out of bad or neutral matchups
>>31713250
I use Vikavolt a bit and this is what I use
Max SpAtk and Defense investment with 6 HP Evs
Assault Vest
Thunderbolt
Bug Buzz
Flash Cannon
Energy Ball
With AssVest and Max Def investment, Vikavolt becomes a mighty tank and has helped me out a lot
>>31710719
Yeah A-Duggy for sure, that Sand Attack spamming piece of shit.
For like the 6th time, for anyone know if Z Moves negate evasion boosts?
>>31713349
I believe Z Moves are always a guaranteed hit
Yesterday I went to 50's in super singles using Waterium-Z Ashninja, Lum Berry Chomp and Megagross.
Smooth sailing senpai.
FUCK YOU
SNOW CLOAK ISN'T EVEN ACTIVATED
So how hard do you have to go for the Battle Tree?
Obviously good IVs/EVs are a must. But with the right set-up can I bring whatever I want in or should I just bust out the meta lists?
Just got a 54 win streak in Super Doubles, here's my 55th battle and the team I used to get there.
QDZG-WWWW-WWW5-7LH7

Seven Thomas (Salamence) (M) @ Salamencite

EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 65
Timid Nature
-Giga Drain
-Flash Cannon
-Air Slash
-Flamethrower
First turn is almost always setting up Aurora Veil and Z-Conversion. Aurora Veil saved me so many times in the later battles and I can't imagine overcoming as much bullshit the Battle Tree throws at you without it.
>>31713725
i got 50 wins with my bros alola raichu, clefable and eviolite magmar
>>31713978
Made a few mistakes in there like hitting Heatran with a fire move after Latios died, but those two consecutive misses with Flamethrower on Magnezone were horse shit.
>>31713250
Sounds good to me I don't know shit about vikavolt, so run that how ever you please. I might recommend a weakness blocking berry just to keep it alive longer to dish out those discharges. Just something to keep it alive since going last will make it susceptible to hits. Also In my many attempts at super doubles I only ever saw one mon that ran substitute. Which was sub focus punch scrafty. But again because I had sylveon with pixelate hyper voice, that was never a problem.
Here's my record being broke at 70 by Wally
L8LW-WWWW-WWW5-7LS6
The first time I battled him he didn't bring Altaria so I didn't know it was Mega
I wanted to get rid of it asap and didn't go for DD and everything went to shit soon after that
trying singles now
How do I use Aegi? Never used it desu
Aegislash @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Stance Change
Level: 50
>EVs: ?????
>???? Nature
- King's Shield
- Shadow Ball
- Flash Cannon
- Shadow Sneak
>>31714381
You want it to be as slow as possible so that it never gets hit in Attack Form, then just Shadow Sneak when you need to attack.
>>31710719
Leafeon. Crit'd me 3 times in a fucking row with leaf blade. I literally can't look at a Leafeon the same way ever again without thinking of this moment now and I'm filled with absolute rage every time I see one.
https://3ds.pokemon-gl.com/rentalteam/BT-8D86-4B00
Reposting Super Doubles team. Flamethrower on Salamence is pretty much only for mega Steelix. Its SpA IV is a bit low but it shouldn't matter since any trainer using M-Steelix also uses a bunch of stuff that's easy to take out or ignore with Salamence+Kartana, which will let you focus the Steelix before it does anything significant.
>>31713697
this thing has aurora veil? why the fuck does it never use it
Anybody got any silly meme teams for super doubles?

>>31716721

King's shield, swords dance, sacred sword, shadow sneak
You'll thank me later
What are some good mons I can use on a team with my Mimikyu?
Mimikyu (Mimikyu) (M) @ Life orb/ Ghostium
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 Hp
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Sneak
- Shadow Claw
- Play Rough
I was blasting through the Battle tree singles with this guy till I ran into some multi hit moves/ sucker punch which shredded him and my team.
Does Entrainment Truant Durant sitll work for the tree?
>>31713349
Probably, I never missed a Z-Stone Edge.
>>31719161
I just got my singles stamp with Mimikyu as lead with Mega Mence and Toxapex
Any help with multi?
It's the only stamp I'm missing and I can't even break 30
I'm trying to beat super multis
Right now I'm leading with Celesteela.
Celesteela @ Assault Vest
Ability: Beast Boost
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 60 SpA / 196 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Flash Cannon
- Giga Drain
- Flamethrower
- Air Slash
Partner leads scarf terrakion w/ stone edge, EQ, sacred sword, and aerial ace and then has sash entei with overheat, flame charge, stone edge, and fire fang.
I RARELY ever get to my second mon but when I did I lost.
What's a good mon that synergizes with these 3 pokemon?
>>31710827
https://3ds.pokemon-gl.com/rentalteam/BT-5BA5-408D
run mega mence, kartana, toxapex
only switch out mence first turn if it's a water or ice type, nuke everything with double edge. kartana late game sweeps. use toxapex to stall by switching it into mons that fuck up or intimidate ability mega mence or kartana
ez free 50 winstreak. you're welcome

/vp/ is bad at mons what do you expect.
the fun part for is trying to reach that 100 streak in super singles. 1-50 is easy but 75 and up are real af
i enjoy the unique sets and strats for the battle tree from these threads tho, especially for super doubles
>>31714795
I really enjoyed using that team anon. it's a lot of fun and blows past the ai.
I can't even get passed the 10th trainer anymore because shit like this happens all the time.
>>31716807
I actually haven't tried Doubles yet so I was looking for advice (10 more battles to go for my Super Singles stamp). Didn't know you could use Thundurus in the Battle Tree, it would be miles better to pair with Scarfchomp than Vikavolt.
>>31721044
>1-50 is easy
AH5G-WWWW-WWW5-89X7
Talk about a clutch win.
>>31720993
>>31719468
I appreciate the suggestions and I'll definitely add Toxapex and Porygon to my team (not a fan of Salamance) but I sort of looking for some kind of gimmick synergy with Mimikyu, like baton passing it stats or something gimmicky and fun like that if anyone has any ideas.
>>31722223
don't fucking look for "something gimmicky and fun" if you really want to win here senpai, toxapex and megamence are the way to go
>>31721427
Once you find a good team it is, at least in singles. You do have to try a few times and make adjustments to see what synergizes the best, but once you do it's not hard at all
>>31719531
People say Colress with MegaGross and Wally with Mega Gallade are good. Just having a partner with a Mega is good in general because then you can have a team with two megas which is pretty nice
Or just do like me and scout a veteran with semi decent legendaries and ass through it with MegaMence
>111th battle
>Lose because a fucking leafeon got a back to back quick claw

>>31710719
fridge rotom
>chansey only mon left
>blizzard
>chansey was frozen!
10 turns later chansey dies
it was frozen the whole time
>>31725705
I'd believe that, battle 39 of my super singles I was down to my A-Ninetales against a Sylveon and my Sp.A was lowered, I froze it with Blizzard on the last turn of hail and kept it frozen for 8 turns continuously using freeze dry till it died, I probably should've lost that battle, I was laughing the whole time it was frozen, couldn't believe it lasted that long, if I was on the receiving end I would've been raging
>>31709157
So sometimes you will get sets that are specially made to survive certain super effective hits I've had several mons survive with 1 hp or just about
>>31721135
Tapu Fini is what you need or best evee magic bounce espeon
>>31726113
to be fair it's not entirely unreasonable to be frozen for 10 turns in a row (about 10.7% chance)
but freeze is still just such a bullshit mechanic, that ended like a 40-something streak, i was somewhat salty
>move with 90% accuracy misses 3 times in a row
>>31716826
I switch Ninetales out for Celesteela since it doesn't get damaged by Sandstorm then switch back to Ninetales when I can.
There's probably a better strategy like switching to a different Pokemon who can take brief advantage of different weather or a Pokemon who can set up Hail by itself or another Snow Warning Pokemon...but I needed Celesteela on my team so I played around opponent's weather.
Ofc this only comes into play when the opponent has an auto-weather Pokemon out on the first turn - after you set off Aurora Veil you don't need any weather anymore and the battle is usually over before it wears off.
Whats a good doubles team?

Do I need to bother scouting any trainers beyond Porygon Z/Mega-Metagross Colress?
>>31728976
I heard this from Cybertron in a video but didn't find info on that. Even so you want to hack important people, people that piss you off, rivals and such not some random fag that isn't worth shit.
Just use the feature and have fun.
Lost battle 65 in Super Doubles due to three misses in a row and Dugtrio using Fissure. ah well.
