It didn't take as long as I thought. You can change routes while still surfing, which resets the bubbling spot, so it was quicker than some areas to re-fish.

Fishing in SM was annoying. I wish that they did more of the following:
>earlier access to a Fishing Rod
>more diversity of pokemon, so many goddamn Magikarp
>bubbling spots are always bubbling, even after a battle

Once I realized I could walk into Kukui's house and right back to the ripple spot it was pretty smooth sailing. Thank god the spots aren't random. Finally found a Corsola but waiting for a female Mereanie is still a hurdle.
