The guy who made them came out and said it showing the art at its original resolution, as well as prevos and megas to prove he made them
That was the end of anyone taking Ballio seriously but the "split evolutions" thing caused a handful of people and shitposters who weren't there for the months where Ballio first sprung up to say Ballio was real and the split evo for Popplio.

Hazeldex is a scapegoat deviantart account created by someone posting in this very thread to try to claim the real starters as fake. He is apparently 35-36 but has the argumentation skills of a twelve year old and the English of a Brazilian mmo player. In nearly every thread about the leaks, you would find a reply with some scolipede gijinka edited onto incineroar's head followedby some nonsensical back-and-forth about "degenerate duty" which i guess is some inside joke of his from some place called youchew. To this day, nine months after their first leak, he cannot help but post in every primarina/incineroar/decidueye thread he sees and spout angry nonsense at people like a schizophrenic hobo.

Shame. We as a society could have helped people come across their fear of them, instead, we're just taking advantage of peoples' fears in current media. Worse thing is, those horror movies make people with a actual fear of them look worse by making their fears nonsensical when it's just as real as any other phobia out there and in most cases, these movies are the ones that instilled fear on these people when they were younger.
