I never played Gen V, so I don't know how to get Dream Balls, I know it's in the dream world, but still I don't know

If I buy a gen V cartridge can I still catch them and transfer them?
Or was it for a limited time?

It ended on 1/24/2014, so some pokemon are impossible to get in dream balls ( a vast majority of them) so I breed the fuck out of the popular ones.

You can still get some legit dream ball mons from dream radar, ralts, staryu, beldum and the three genies to name a few. As for dream world it doesn't work anymore.
