Masuda Method. Didn't really intend to, i was just breeding Protean Greninja to get Protean Froakie's to giveaway.
The shiny Froakie popped up at about egg 40 I think. That makes it the 6th legit shiny that I've caught in Moon, adding to the 12 I caught legit in Omega Ruby
Hell I've probably caught over 30 shiny's throughout the whole franchise since Gold.

Instead of shiny's, I reckon GF should just use different shades of the pokemon's original colour. For e.g have 5 different shades and have them 20% encounter rate each of that species.

I wouldn't mind it, since they're kind of doing it using alolan forms and they've changed certain shinies in the past such as the orange gyarados in the fire red and leaf green versions.

While new shiny palettes would be cool, it would however be a pain in the ass since if you're shiny hunting, you could potentially wind up with the one shiny variation that you weren't going for and either start the hunt over or move onto something else. In all honesty I'd prefer something along the lines of crossbreeding the pokemon has physical traits similar to both of its parents instead of being a perfect copy of its mother.

Have been trying a new strategy for hatching for ahonies using the pelago glitch, it is definitely faster but you only really get significant speed payouts for eggs that take a long time to hatch and if you're doing a lot of them. I haven't timed it but I do think it's a bit faster if you're going for over 100 eggs.

>gather eggs to fill up your party, place them all in the box when you fill your party
>repeat until you have as many eggs as you like, i usually go for 3 or 4 boxes
>hatch them all at once using pelago glitch
>can also use this to get shards for bottlecaps while you hatch

A typical 18 egg hatching session + refill of ponds takes about 15 minutes, usually less. Actually obtaining 18 eggs takes under 15 depending on your luck. So with this method you can hatch about 30 eggs an hour, which I think is slightly faster than the normal method for large amounts of eggs. This method gets more efficient the more eggs you are hatching, at least mathematically as you're not wasting any time where the lady has an egg for you and you have no space in your party.

Holy fucking shit you guys, I hatched two Mimikyus 10 hatches from each other. And there was nothing I could do.

You can get it to 100 in a couple hours with the pelago glitch, and it's pretty braindead so you can watch a movie or something while you do it

Wow, today I was just thinking of soft resetting for a legendary in Alpha Sapphire and chose Regice after I got hooked on its battle theme on YouTube. I must have soft reset 20 times and I got it! I even caught it in a dive ball since it matched its colors so well. I wasn't really trying so I forgot to bring a synchronizer hahaha. It ended up being jolly, with perfect speed, special attack and hp.

That's funny, I got my Shiny Regice incredibly quickly, too. Not as fast as you, but within my first 2 hours of SRing. Guess Regice is just an easy whore.

When I think Dual Screens, I think of something that Espeon has a +2 due to both recovery and the ability to bounce back status, but when I think of Minior utilizing that role, the things I think of are recovery and movepool, aka not becoming Taunt fodder, but also having a move that'll do decent damage to anything.

Special is somewhat easy since it can use Power Gem and any two from Psychic, Dazzling Gleam or a Hidden Power (Ground and Ice can't beat Bronzong), so I'd say Timid/Modest, 252/4/252 SpA/SpD/Spe with PG/DG/HP Fire/Ice/Shell Smash.

Physical is tougher because you'd want to use Acrobatics, but what if, for some reason, an attack isn't stronger enough to get you below 50% health? Either way, Acro/EdgeQuake/SS, same 252/4/252 Atk/SpD/Spe and maybe FS or WH for the item.

This is why I went with Naive to MM. I can assume the role of a mixed attacker since Minior doesn't really have 4MSS.

As unpopular as it sounds, Chikorita is actually the best shiny Gen 2 starter. Totodile is my all-time favorite starter, but it's shiny as it evolves becomes less appealing, and Cyndaquil isn't appealing at all except I guess in a Level Ball.

You'll have to end up MMing for a team once the Alola Competitions hit, but hopefully they'll start including Banked Pokemon soon for Mega Stones, or maybe internet codes.

I have no problem with you choosing how you mark your Pokemon's stats. We all have stat-marking autism, and personally, I would've marked it closer to the color spectrum (green = blue, yellow = red, purple = hue/shade of the Pokemon), but I elaborated why reason why with Based. That's exactly what I have to do. I MM even at work, and when I'm talking to my associates, I get a shiny, but it's the feeling when you anticipate a shiny and get it that makes it so worth it.

I don't see why it would as Brick Break isn't neccesarily done with hands. It's just the animation looks that way. Like Mudsdale Close Combat. I don't think it'd go to AG with Rayquaza as well. Regular Salamence isn't too much of that material and Salamence-Mega, while powerful and fast, is still checked quite well by various Ubers mons.

Red and Green is a cool color combo, I believe! It'll match up better when she becomes a Salamence.

Have you ever played Gen 4 OU? That was the BEST generation in battling (I specialized in UU specifically) and Salamence, along with Garchomp, were so big of a threat because of their wall-breaking power that they were banned to Uber. I totally think that Mence would be AG with just Ice Punch alone, but then again, I haven't fully studied the meta since pre-Gen 7 Bank Uber and OU, so Fairies still can wall Outrage (Unaware Clefable).

I tried to hunt for Eevee and went just about 255 when I just decided to catch the HA female caller before she killed herself, and even then the cunt would refuse entering my balls.

I rounded up all the WT Eevees I got and will go from there instead.

I want to see unique palettes/patterns for each region where a pokemon can be found. like, a Kanto pidgey is brown and white, while a Johto Pidgy might be grey or spotted. no need to fiddle with types or stats like Alolan versions or anything, but I feel like since they implied regional variants are a possibility, they should follow through with it.

I'd also like to see the return of the old Pokemon Stadium 1 mechanic that adjusted your monster's colors based on its nickname. it was originally just something to keep all the pokemon from looking too samey, but I thought it was bitchin' that my charizard was dark red with an eggshell-yellow underbelly and a green so dark it was almost black under his wings. I get that it might take some of the thunder out of shinies, but I also think it could benefit them just as well.

Remake the shinies. Those puke green ones should be all remade.
The new generation has some really neat shinies, they should remake the old ones that look ugly or that look way too similar to the originals into new ones.
Or, as an alternative, remove the shininess and make enviroment variations instead, not even region variations.
Retcon Alolan Vulpix to Mountain or Glacial Vulpix or something along those lines.
Shinies would gain an actual purpose and every Pokémon would have at least one variation.
