I used to help out at my local TCG league and then became a VGC judge, and at one point was the assistant head organiser at a Nationals. That went on my CV (obviously I don't mention it's Pokémon unless they ask) and made it look a bit more varied instead of just having a college degree.

I got a lot from the games. I learned English and a lot of shit about nature and geography.

It might sound so little, but only I know how much it helped me in those fields.

I still feel thankful for it.
