So I got back into shiny hunting on Platinum,but I dont have a second DS, or gen 5 game, but i do have the means to checking a pokemons IVs on a gen 4 game. How cheaty is it to keep shiny hunting, and then pkhex the pokemon into gen 7? IV's dont matter anymore because of bottlecaps, and overall I preferred shiny hunting in gen 4 to gen 6 or 7.
Pic related, while looking for an eevee to sos chain in sun I ran into a wild mudbray, that i'll never use.

It's not cheaty, I did that when i hunted mew on virtual console injected emerald then got it in my 6 gen game.

I think there's an IV judge in the battle tower in D/P/Pt. Have no clue where one would be in HGSS.

I prefer my pokemon to be completely legit in every way. Otherwise I don't use them. So I wouldn't pkhex. They won't be my bros anymore.

that's why you have to make it fast so your just inject it lol mons don't contaminate it
