These are all things that imply Mega Evolution only takes place in Kalos. Same was said in Origins. We also SEE it doesn't happen in Alola.
Considering a game that came out after ORAS, SM, also mentioned it in a way that made it seem weird for there to be Mega Evolution outside of Kalos, it's completely fair to assume Mega Evolution in Hoenn is just an added feature, a simple retcon, rather than a whole new universe. Unless you claim XY is also part of RSE-verse, in which case, this is going too far into headcanon territory.

they've been stuck in a shithole since gen 4. Arceus + creation trio were a mistake, thats the kind of shit you save for the series finale. Immediately after that they kicked the chosen 1 stories into extreme overdrive.

But they'll never be able to top capturing god and masters of the universe. They didn't even have the sense to imply that this was just one regions/culture's creation myth, and that it might not be the end all be all to legendary pokemon.
