Literally reading part 5 finale rn. Diavolo is a bit dissapointing. I thought we was just mentally sick but he's just your typical superiority complex villain. Such a letdown

I'm waiting for the newer scans to come out for it. I'll probably start with Part 7 next, since it's a new universe, so I don't need to know anything about the previous parts.

Part 5 scans are mostly done, just not in color and about 20 chapters near the end have an old translation (still not duwang level). I wanted to do the same thing but people here told me not to skip any parts because I'd miss a shitton of references. I'd say read part 5 first. Once you get a good feel for the characters you'll be able to push though bad scans. Unless you can't handle the fact that more than half od it is in black and white but it's easy to get used to
there's a reddit post that recommends you the best way to read part 5 but I don't know if I won't get banned if I post it

don't do this. part 5 has most of it's good scans done, with exception of a few, but part 6 in it's entirety has good scans. besides you'll miss a bunch of callbacks.

Nah, I did the same thing. Apparentely the only reason to read already adapted parts is because some people think they're better than their anime counterparts (though I think that they just don't like changes to their beloved manga)
