decided to do some hunting this weekend, and I felt like an SoS chain. after about 20 cutiefly, I decided they'd be a massive pain (since you can barely see the cutiefly at most camera angles, let alone tell it's colour) and moved on.

I went down to Kala'e Bay looking for a bagon to chain, and the first bagon I found was this fucker.

one of the shinies I killed was a fomantis, at about 97 encounters in. after accidentally killing it, I kept going, and found (and caught) a second shiny at about 157.

I keep them or give them to other people if they're interested, but I usually do the latter.

Yes. Pokemon with a 50/50 gender ratio need to roll a 5, 6, 7, or 8 upon hatching in order to be female, and Pokemon with a 87.5/12.5 gender ratio have to roll an 8. So basically, if you have a female shiny Magikarp, there's a 25% chance that it rolled an 8, so it's always worth checking. If it's not an 8, you can swap a different parent in instead so that you don't waste a shiny.

I've got a team of 4 meowth and 1 munchlax with pickup, all at level 100, just from leveling up mons to 100 outside the battle tree.

Pretty sure most of my non-event shinies are considered "unsalvageable" by the people on here, but I don't care about usability at all since I am a collector and 90% of my shinies are unviable shitmons I got because I love them, like Phione, which in fanmade, unnofficial formats, is bad even in PU. Thus, it makes zero difference if it's an optimal nature 6IV beast or a 2IV detrimental nature bubblebun. I mean, does it matter what nature my shiny Kabutops is?
TLDR I keep them all and horde them because I only get pokemon I like.

You can do it m8. Although if you don't care about stats it's very easy to use a Solgaleo or Klinklang to chain Mimikyu.

Some shinies I just don't like enough to make a living shiny dex for (e.g. Stantler, Lillipup, Arcanine, basically any feline, canine, or cervids), so props to you anon for putting up with the whole dex.

Sunsteel Strike will OHKO through disguise (as will Moongeist Beam, but Leo has clear body to ignore debuffs), I used a few PP Ups for it and I have 500 leppa berries so it was no big deal.
Also a HA Klinklang (or normal one if you don't care about charm debuffs) will be able to break the disguise with gear grind and kill the bugger on the second hit due to it being SE.

If you read my original post I said I passed 11000 a few days ago. I would say you could pull off 50 or so an hour, more or less depending on the pokemon type.
