-The fire starter could be better the other two are 10/10.
-Regional rodent is okay. Since it's roadkill I expect a Ghost type evolution. Otherwise 7/10

9/10 Pretty soild evos. Progression-wise Grassmole gives me Quilava vibes and the snake's orb reminds me of Torracat's bell. Im puzzled why it's missing the orb on it's secondary artwork though.

Grass 11/10. Satisified it doesn't just get bigger while still being a grass mole.
Fire 10/10. A Chinese Charizard that still isn't a dragon! Neat.
Water 7/10. Seems kinda obvious, but secondary typing slightly redeems it from being bland.

Overall mosty solid designs.

It's a bit too similar a name to Garbodor, and since they share "giant heaps of trash" in common, I'd prefer to keep them more distinct. But it does flow kind of nicely, so I'll keep it in mind.

I also have a drawing of it and its evolution, but I can't think of a design for the evo that I like more than the first. Is there anything that you all would want to see in a Trash-Dung Beetle that's also an Atlas Beetle that's also Atlas?

Anyone have ideas for an animal/folklore inspiration that would make a good water starter? I may or may not be making up my own set of starters who are Grass/Electric and Fire/Steel and already have the "manly" and "feminine" bases covered, so I just need something that fits with those and can be the obligatory "cool" one.

Was thinking maybe a Water/Dragon water snake, taking some inspiration from leviathans, but I'm not sure. That might be too good of a type combo for a starter. My other idea was a Water/Fighting bear, but there's no way to do a bear without it being "manly" and overlapping with one of my current starters.

I'm just having trouble settling on a species because it feels like GameFreak and Sage used up all the traditional water-dwelling animals that aren't straight up fish-bodied, or freakish deep-sea creatures that would be too "unrelatable" as a starter species.

I think it would be cool, but again, its design philosophy would be too similar to fire bull here.

Just put this together, figured I'd show what I have, try to explain their concepts, and see if anyone likes them. The fire one is easy, it's just a cow/bull mixed with a train. The big one leads a herd of babies, and a middle-stage covers the backside like a caboose. I've shown these guys in a thread a while back, but I just drew the touched up artwork of the final form tonight.

As for the mushroom, it's supposed to be a bioluminescent mushroom that looks like a Japanese yurei + hitodama, since many parts of the world, including Japan, would often mistake the glow of mushrooms for Will-o-the-Wisp back in olden times. The big triangle on the front of the final form's cap is supposed to represent that weird little triangle headband you typically see yurei wear. (And I guess it's not an animal like most starters, but starters have broken assumed rules before, like Chespin being the first grass mammal, Decidueye changing its secondary type, Greninja getting its own special snowflake transformation, etc., plus I hope I made it appealing enough to not even matter whether it's an animal or not.)

All that said, I'm comfortable enough in what I have to not want to have to redo any of this just to fit a bear in. Please understand.
