I just ended Pokemon Sun today and I can totally say that is one of the greatest gen I have played so far, just along with 5th gen. Yeah it has some problems about the difficulty but it is nothing relevant to ruin the experience.
I don't know if this has been discussed here before, probably yes but I'll bring it anyway.
As we know, our character is some foreigner that randomly came to Alola just because Kukui called us. But as the game progresses it's also implied that Lillie isn't an Alolan native neither so she's a foreigner as well. So which region would you think she came from? Is this a direct hint about a hypothetical 8th gen on her original region? Because it's obvious that there will be a 8th gen, they won't stop.
[Spoiler] Also how likely is a Kanto remake? I'd rather it than a Sinnoh remake to be quite honest. :^) [/spoiler]

Her origin is completely and totally irrelevant. She's lived in Alola for almost all of her life, as far as we know. They might introduce her home region someday, but it's not going to mean anything.
As for Kanto remakes, highly likely. Going by order, after RS, FRLG is next in line. They're also the most outdated games. Sinnoh's number would come after that.

People wouldn't have want Kanto remakes for 20th anniversary anyway. It was not just Kanto's 20th anniversary. It was the series'. A remake coming right after another remake would also not sell as well.
